Hello, we are so glad you have taken the time to look at our website. I am Pastor Roger Henry and I have been the pastor here at Staves Memorial UMC since July 1, 0f 2011. I have been married to Doris for 32 years. We have three grown children who keep us very busy.

            I came to know the power of walking with the Lord when I was twenty one and it has been a fantastic adventure ever since.  My passion for ministry is to help build a Body of Christ that will offer opportunities to help people to grow in their faith and find exciting ways to serve the Lord.

            My hobby has been going on mission trips.  This has led to traveling all over the United States, and to Africa, Russia and Guatemala. On each trip I have had the blessing of traveling with many youth and adults from the churches I have been serving. These trips have been so life changing that they helped several young and young at heart people to go into long term ministry in many places around the world.

            We hope you will join us for worship and any of the other exciting ministries you will read about on our website. We offer a traditional worship service, at 10:00 am, every Sunday, with Biblically based messages that provide ways for us to grow in our faith. This is followed by a wonderful fellowship time, to help us get to know one another.

            Sunday school is offered at 9:00 am and there are classes from all age groups from nursery through adult. Youth group for grades 7 -12 is offered every Sunday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
