Our Pastor, Reverend R. D. Streeter.

R.D. recalled a conversation during one of his sermons last year.
He was noticed as a local pastor while shopping at a grocery store nearby.
The gentleman asked, "Are you the pastor of that church down the road that burned?"

R.D. responded, "No, mine's the one that's ON FIRE!"

This is my wife Delores (De). We have been married 40 years in 2006. I have been a minister in the United Methodist Church for 30 years. I am a skilled preacher; I have had the opportunity to preach revivals in Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and California. I responded to my call into the ministry at the age of 33, but the first sermon I delivered was at the age of 17 (it took me a while to catch on) at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA. I have preached in Baptist, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Presbyterian, Christian, and Non-Denominational. My appointments in the Iowa Conference have been; Allerton, Clio, Lineville from 1977-1982, Sheffield, Chapin from 1982-1989, Guthrie Center, Bowman Chapel from 1989-1993, Carlisle from 1993-2000, Calvary United Methodist church of Arnold's Park from 2000-2005, and Staves Memorial in East Des Moines from 2005 - present. I have a unique style of ministry sometimes called unconventional, which is OK with me. I know what people respond to and I know they are hungering for the word of God. I am often outspoken and refuse to accept the "status quo". One of my favorite attitudes is "if it ain't broke, break it." (It usually works better anyway). I have led seminars on radical evangelism, and stewardship. The churches I have had the privilege to serve have shown great growth, not only in numbers, but also in spirituality and strong leadership.
